We are proud as all get out to be the Official Vodka of NASCAR, and we were so excited to have our own entitlement race at Homestead-Miami Speedway scheduled for March. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the Dixie Vodka 400 had to be postponed. While we were madder than a wet hen, we understood the reasoning and even got a little reprieve with the inaugural eNascar iRacing Pro Invitational Dixie Vodka 150. It ended up being the most-watched e-sports event, ever.

When the Dixie Vodka 400 officially got rescheduled for June, we were happier than a pig in mud! Not only was the race rescheduled, but 1,000 fans were invited to attend — and not just any fans, members of the military. We were honored to host such a great group of folks.

Obviously, we started the day by fixin’ the South’s Best Bloody Mary, and then hosted a virtual VIP pre-race party with our friends from Hooters for some of our biggest fans. The event even featured a live Q&A with NASCAR Cup Series and Hooters car driver, Chase Elliott. It was a great way to get us all pumped up and ready to race!

Just before the green flag waved, we fixed a Speedway Cocktail and settled in for what we thought would be a great afternoon of racing. Well, the racing really was awesome, but if you tuned in — and stayed tuned in through a couple hours of weather delays (including a water spout and plenty of lightning) — we raise a glass to you!

Once things finally got (and kept) going under the lights at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, it was a night to remember. Fast cars, fans, and fixin’ drinks — we couldn’t ask for more.

Denny Hamlin dominated the race, taking not only the top spot in every stage, but also taking the checkered flag. Did anyone else think that trophy was THE COOLEST trophy ever? Not that we’re biased or anything…

Anyway, we’re still Cloud Nine. This one’s for all of you and your continued support through the years. Cheers, y’all!
